If your loved one's wishes were to have a traditional burial, Great Yarmouth Borough Council has extensive and tranquil burial grounds available for graves and living memories.

With a traditional burial you may choose to hold your loved one's service within our chapel, your Funeral Director will arrive at the crematorium at the undercover entrance.

Your time within the chapel can be up to 45 minutes in length, including time spent in the flower and koi pool cloister.

After the service, the funeral director will lead your friends and family to the graveside for the committal.

If you choose to use a local venue for the service, the procession will proceed to the chosen cemetery for a shorter committal at the graveside.

What You Need to Complete

To hold a burial you will need to complete the Notice of interment form.

You can hold a non-religious service with your choice of words and music.

Reserving a Grave for Future Use

Some people like to organise their own funeral arrangements to limit the anguish caused to love ones they leave behind. At Great Yarmouth Crematorium you are able to purchase a grave before it is required. In order to arrange this please download the Exclusive rights of burial application form and return it to us at the address provided. Once processed you will be provided with a deed to the grave, which must be kept safe.
